We are happy to announce the second edition of our five-day Economic Fitness and Complexity Summer School this July, jointly organised by UNU-MERIT and the Enrico Fermi Research Centre.
PROGRAMME DETAILS
Courses and Labs
The first three days of the summer school will offer a mix of theoretical and practical classes on key topics, including economic complexity measurement, network theory, machine learning, and the measurement of relatedness. Each theoretical lecture will be complemented by coding labs, where participants will apply the methodologies introduced in class to carry out assigned group projects.
Presentations
The final two days of the school will feature presentations by many world-renowned scholars who will share their cutting-edge research. Topics will include the links between economic complexity and economic development, economic geography, labour economics, sustainability, the economics of science, and innovation policy. Participants will also have the opportunity to present their group projects and receive valuable feedback.
Social Activities
Network and engage with fellow participants and speakers through various organised social activities, including a drinks reception, free time, and a social dinner.
